From carefully preparing each order to packing it for frozen transit, every step is designed to help your food arrive ready for your freezer. If you've ever wondered what happens after you click "Place Order," here's a look behind the scenes at the journey your order takes before it reaches your dog's bowl.
Step 1: You Place Your Order
Every order starts the same way, with you choosing the products that best fit your dog's feeding routine.
Whether you're ordering Complete Mix Patties, Medallions, Chubs, Pure Meat, Frozen Raw Treats, Dehydrated Treats, or stocking up on multiple proteins, your order is added to our shipping schedule.
Because RawFedK9 ships frozen products, all orders are carefully organized and prepared for our Monday shipping day. This allows us to efficiently pack every order while helping ensure products leave our facility frozen and ready for transit.
Step 2: Monday Is Shipping Day
Monday mornings are busy around RawFedK9.
Our team begins pulling the products for each customer's order directly from our zero-degree freezer. Every order is picked individually, making sure the correct products, proteins, and quantities are included before packing begins.
Because the food stays frozen until it's time to package your order, it maintains the same frozen condition it was stored in before heading out for delivery.
Step 3: Packing Your Order
Once your order has been picked, it's time to package everything for shipment.
The products are first placed into an insulated liner, which helps provide an additional layer of temperature protection during transit. That insulated liner is then placed inside one of our foam coolers.
From there, we add an ice block to help maintain cold temperatures throughout the journey.
The final step happens just before the cooler is sealed.
Right before your package is closed, we add dry ice that fills the rest of the space. Waiting until the last possible moment helps maximize the effectiveness of the dry ice as your package begins its trip to your doorstep.
Once everything is in place, the cooler is sealed, boxed, labeled, and prepared for pickup
Step 4: On Its Way to You
Once your order leaves our facility, it begins its journey through the shipping network.
Because every shipment leaves frozen and is packed with multiple layers of insulation, your order is designed to stay cold throughout transit. Depending on where you live, transit times vary.
When your order arrives, we recommend bringing it inside as soon as possible and transferring the products directly to your freezer.
Step 5: Stocking Your Freezer
Some people organize proteins by shelf, while others rotate older products toward the front or separate patties, medallions, chubs, and treats into different sections. However you choose to organize your freezer, having everything ready to go makes feeding throughout the week simple and convenient.
One thing customers often ask is whether they need to remove the products from the shipping box before freezing them.
The answer is no.
If you have the freezer space, your RawFedK9 order can be stored right in the shipping box it arrives in. Many customers choose to do exactly that until they're ready to open a new case.
