Once you know that number, figuring out how long a case will last is pretty simple:
Case weight ÷ pounds fed per day = approximate number of feeding days
For example, if you're feeding 1 lb per day and purchase a 30 lb case, that case will last approximately 30 days. If you're feeding 2 lbs per day, the same case will last approximately 15 days.
That's really all there is to the basic calculation.

If you're feeding multiple dogs, add their individual daily feeding amounts together before doing the calculation. For example, if one dog eats 1 lb per day and another eats 0.5 lb per day, your household is using approximately 1.5 lbs of raw food each day.
At 1.5 lbs per day, a 30 lb case would last approximately 20 days. A 40 lb case would last approximately 27 days.
The same calculation works whether you're feeding two dogs or ten. Find the total amount your household uses each day, then divide the case weight by that number. This is especially helpful when you're trying to decide how many cases you'll need to make it from one order to the next.
Planning for Protein Rotation
Case size is only one piece of planning a RawFedK9 order. We also recommend feeding three to four different proteins throughout the month, so you may want to think about your total food requirement first and then decide how you want to divide that amount between proteins.
For example, a household that uses approximately 30 lbs of food per month doesn't necessarily need to purchase 30 lbs of one protein. Depending on the product formats and case sizes you choose, you can build an order with different protein options and rotate through them as you go.

One of the conveniences of RawFedK9 is that the food can remain in the boxes it arrives in while stored in the freezer. If you have a chest freezer or dedicated raw food freezer, keeping cases boxed can make it easier to organize proteins and know what you still have on hand.
